These terms govern your use of Forma, provided by Zoldan Labs Limited ("Zoldan Labs", "we"), a company registered in New Zealand (NZBN: 9429053670946). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.
Forma is a training and nutrition app: workout programs, exercise logging, macro and meal guidance, progress tracking, and an AI coach. Some features are free; others require a Premium subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase, described on our pricing page.
You need an email address to create an account. You're responsible for keeping access to that email secure — it's how you sign in. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
If you're a New Zealand consumer, nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. In addition, we offer a straightforward 30-day money-back guarantee on your first Premium or Lifetime purchase — email hello@zoldanlabs.com within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund it, no questions asked. Outside that window, subscription payments already taken are non-refundable, though you can still cancel to stop future charges.
Training logs, bodyweight entries, and anything else you enter remain yours. Progress photos stay on your device and are never uploaded to us (see our Privacy Policy). Coach conversations are sent to our AI provider to generate a response, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Forma's software, source code, user interface, exercise and nutrition databases, training and meal-planning logic, AI coach prompts, icons, and branding belong exclusively to Zoldan Labs Limited or its licensors, in New Zealand and worldwide. Using Forma doesn't give you any ownership of it — just a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own training and nutrition. This doesn't affect your ownership of your own content, described above.
Use Forma for its intended purpose: your own training, nutrition and coaching. Don't:
We may suspend or terminate your account, with reasonable notice where practical, if you breach these terms — including the Acceptable use rules above. For serious breaches (for example, scraping, abusing other users, or trying to circumvent payment), we may act immediately without notice. You can stop using Forma and delete your account at any time — see Settings → Account or our Privacy Policy for how.
Forma works offline for core training and logging, but account sync, the AI coach, and other server-dependent features require a connection and depend on services we, in turn, depend on (Supabase, Netlify, our AI provider). We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, Zoldan Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Forma.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you arising out of or related to these terms or your use of Forma — however the claim arises — is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or NZD $100 if you're on the free plan. This cap doesn't apply to, and nothing in these terms limits, liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, or liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or wilful misconduct.
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll notify signed-in users in the app before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
